Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Welcome to any new members. We had a bit of a party here to celebrate member number 1000. I'm afraid our January new member thread got a bit messy.

Please start here and tell us who you are and what you like/dislike....

Of course you don’t have to introduce yourself if you prefer. You could head off to Meet The Authors, check out our monthly book selections. check out the New releases or play some Group Games

If you want to join the party or meet the January new members up to 19th please go here :

1000 member party!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Welcome A!

Love the name! Dead easy to type!

Please do have a look around. You'll find we're all very friendly. Rather bonkers, too.

Do please start your author thread and tell us all about your book when you're ready, as well. :)

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments HELLO!

My name is Louise-Lesley. Please call me Elle. I am your new stalker. You are a history teacher. Your book sounds awesome. Please can we be friends?

Love,
The only normal person here.

PS: I couldn't wait until it was free so I just bought it.

Hi A. Don't believe anyone on here if they tell you they're normal. We have no one here who fits that. Hope you're not thinking of filling that seat.

I may frame that as THE BEST POST EVER!

As long as A. comes back and hasn't been totally put off, of course.

Did warn you that we're bonkers, A. ;)

D.M. Andrews, author of The Serpent in the Glass, and founder of the Kindle Family Fiction group on facebook.

Not a stalker, and entirely abnormal ;)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Hi A and DM, I'm L !
Now I bet DD's not happy because my name is now shorter than short !

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments And I'm GL! Hi D. M.!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Welcome DM!

Give us a link to your Facebook page, please. Abnormal, eh? Great! You're family!
Be sure to look around, post and add to the general silliness and open an author thread so we can learn all about your book.

Love it! At this rate we'll have the entire alphabet!

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments Thanks for the welcome. The KFF (if I may introduce new letters of the alphabet for your consumption) page is:

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Consumption. Hmmmm.

Bad choice of word. Now we'll be talking about food again. ;)

Or coughing...hehe.

Thank you for the link. Joined!

Hi I'm Nicola, and I have just finished reading the Book Thief again, which I love and always makes me cry. I love my kindle cos I can enlarge the font without anyone realising I really do need glasses!!

Nicola, I am the very same. While I don't need glasses for reading, if I were reading a DTB, I would need a bookmark to separate the lines as my focus isn't the best.

Mine will be a reader's viewpoint. I have tried writing and actually managed to complete NaNoWriMo in 2008, but haven't looked at what I wrote since!!!
