Jessica Strack (netsiren) | 75 comments I'm going to challenge myself to read 50 books this year. I know that a lot of people can zip right through this challenge, but I have 6 kids (14, 8, 6, 5,2,& 1). It's going to be a challenge for me to read 50. I haven't hit 50 books in a year in awhile now.

Seconded! Good luck, Jessica! Do you listen to audiobooks at all? I don't have any kids to run around after (yet) but I'm a full time student and housewife and I listen to audiobooks while I do housework so that I still get to squeeze in some reading on the extra-busy days :)

Jessica Strack (netsiren) | 75 comments I do listen to some audiobooks when I knit or crochet. As long as I'm working on something I don't have to count to do:)

Jocelyn Gunter | 29 comments I have 5 kids and I was suprised I hit 53 last year...so I challenged myself to read 55 this year. I'm sure I can hit it but I am learning I have to pick books I really want to read and skip ones that I'm not interested in...always takes longer to get through...

Jessica Strack (netsiren) | 75 comments I just finished book #7 which was "Kill Me if You Can" by James Patterson. My first non amish book this year. I love James Patterson books but have fallen really behind on reading them! If I finish one more book this month I'll be right on track. Hmmm...might have to grab another Patterson book to read. I usually fly right through those.

I have 4 kids and I barely made the 50 last year. It is harder with kids! Good Luck!

Jessica Strack (netsiren) | 75 comments 10 down only 40 more to go:)

Jessica Strack (netsiren) | 75 comments I'm slowly getting there.

Jessica Strack (netsiren) | 75 comments Finally finished "Lemon Meringue Pie Murder" by Joanne Fluke. It was a good book I just lost it for awhile and finally found it again.

Jessica Strack (netsiren) | 75 comments I finally finished "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins. It's the 3rd book in The Hunger Games series. It was my least favorite. Good, but took me a long time to get into the book.

I agree with you! Mockingjay was my least favorite book in that series too!

Camille (camlovesraptors) | 802 comments I am about 36% through Mockingjay. So far, not my favorite. But still plowing through it anyway.

It does pick up and get better, but it took awhile.
