Flagg or the Walking Man does appear in the Dark Tower books. I don't want to spoil anything so I will leave it at that.

I've always really enjoyed it, though I am not a huge Stephen King fan anymore. I loved him in my early high school years, but by the end of high school and now in my college years I find him sort of uninteresting. I still like many of his early works, but I don't read his new stuff very often. The Shinning was always my favorite but I quite enjoyed this book when I read it (though I was much younger).

I did'nt like the this book. It was not written in his usual style, I would recommend Insomnia, Duma Key, or Dreamcatcher

Randal Flag is in "The Stand", "The Dark Tower", "Eyes of the Dragon" and "Hearts in Atlantis" I believe. Also a few short stories

Nigel, the DT books were fantastic IMO. Give them another try. Randall Flagg is also in the Stand. Truly evil-Devil character.

I liked it, I do think he has better books since this one but it's not a bad story. The only think that could make this a 'bad book' is the ending. It felt to me like he just got bored and said ' that's it, good enough, lets move on'.
