What value should be substituted for in the URL?

If it's the book ID, any reason why it is also listed as a required parameter?

the id of the owned book!

I'll clarify this in the docs.

You might also point out that an owned book ID is not the same as the corresponding book ID used in many of the API calls (so many ID's, so few good names for them...)
