On Monday, January 30th we’ll begin our discussion of James Joyce’s Ulysses. I’ve been reading the first episodes over the past few days and can see we’ll have much to talk about. Some of you have mentioned that you will be reading the book without using any supplementary reader’s guides. The wikipedia page for Ulysses includes nicely summarized descriptions for each of the episodes if you want some backup.

On February 20th, we’ll begin our discussion of Jacques Derrida’s critical essays in his book Writing and Difference.
On March 5th, we’ll begin our discussion of T.S. Eliot’s poem The Waste Land.
