Tatiana (tatiana_g) I have read Gone and would not recommend it to anyone. It changed tone, the characters' personalities were different, the whole story was underwhelming. But, most importantly, I felt Janie and Cabel ended up in a worse place than at the end of Fade. Looking back, I should have stopped at Fade.

NBB (neonbiblethumper) | 9 comments I've read Gone, and I was HIGHLY disappointed. I'd built up all this momentum of curiosity and sorrow, but all I was left with was half-covered holes and sorrow. I don't know what I was expecting, but this book didn't hold my attention.

Tatiana (tatiana_g) I thought it was kind of like a self-help/fighting addiction story and didn't care for it. There was hardly any suspense in it, only tragedy and self-pity.

Colby (colbz) This book was HORRENDOUSLY weak. It's by far my least favorite book by McMann.

Heather (heatherjoy) Gah, I'm still pissed at McMann over the Gone fiasco. Absolutely terrible. And thanks to the borefest that was "Cryer's Cross" I doubt I'll be reading any more of her books.

Colby (colbz) I thought Cryer's Cross was unique, but it just...she really could have done better with it. There was no suspense except at the very beginning and in the last 30-some pages. Even then, it was predictable. I JUST LOVE HER COVERS TOO MUCH.

Maire | 2 comments Gosh, I am halfway through the book and can't bring myself to turn another page. I am so disappointed because the first two books were good. There is no suspense in Gone and it's sort of depressing, I put this book down a year ago for the same reason and I still can't read it.
