The affair was a good one by Child, answered some questions.

Melodie (melodieco) | 3679 comments Looks like a Dutch Leonard kind of month at Casa Schrager! How did you like RAYLAN? I've been thinking about getting it to see if DH would read it. He loves Justified, so thought he might read a book about Raylan.

Sorry, Mel. I put down the wrong title. Raylan is on hold; the one I read was an early "Raylan" book titled Riding the Rap. The short story Fire in the Hole is the first time Raylan is in Harlan County with many of the Justified characters. The earlier "Raylan" books were set in Florida.

I liked this one a lot.

BarryP (barrypz) | 3500 comments A very manly list. Glad you have not gone soft and started to read cozys, though I have yet to figure why Child is considered chick lit.

Because chicks dig it.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16958 comments It is a rather manly list, Dan - Good month! I would like all of them myself too. ;)
I am eager to get my turn to read Raylan! - you can't go wrong with Elmore Leonard and I am also really enjoying the second season of the TV show. The first episode took off like gang busters!
I am determined to get to The Night Strangers, but keep getting side tracked.

Wondering what this might have said before Dan edited it ;) What did you think of Practice to Deceive...I love his McKenzie series.

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments I like Housewright's writing, but Holland Taylor is one of the most unlikeable MC's I've run across. I'm about done with this series because of it.

I guess Housewright agreed and thats why he stopped after only three in the series and created McKenzie. Thanks for the heads up!
