I could go on and on - it's been fascinating reading lots of these books that reveal our brains to be so different than what I was taught in school.
Books mentioned in this topic
The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom (other topics)Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain (other topics)
I wonder if there is a book with historical perspective telling brain science or our understanding of our minds as we gradually trying to define reported cases of varieties of syptoms that is hidden inside our mind or revealed as unexplained behaviors at first, either with tools today as we might say it's gene differences, or in earlier days with other tools to probe what could be affecting part to the target problems.
I sure don't want to read scientific reports ,also not like textbook style with dead results always saying the story in old fashion, something with a little gossip about the scientists or doctors, trivia of discoveries, arguments and cutting edge studies.
Just try link some facts and questions I have in mind, and try to get an illuminating picture of what mind or brain is. and I bet there isn't much changes in some areas, but could be some advanced in some fields that can surprise me. Thank you!
