message 101: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 391 comments I used to have cats. Love them. But I always knew who was the master and who was the servant--(me). Now we have a chihuahua, and it's taken me a LONG time to get used to a dog. Wow, are they different! But he scratched on our door, and we felt sorry for him and let him in so that we could contact his owners (who lived behind us and didn't want him back), and then...what can I say? We had a dog. But a spider? Well, I guess they need homes too.

Judith Post | 391 comments The world needs spiders. I won't kill one outside, since we only have "good" spiders around us. That said, if they come in my house, they're toast. I can only appreciate them so much. And no tarantula in an aquarium for me. Uggh.

message 103: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 391 comments One of my daughters' boyfriends had a pet tarantula. Not for me, but it didn't bother Robyn. Of course, she's the girl who talked us into letting her have a pet garter snake and a newt. Never "warmed up" to the newt (bad play on words), but we all fell in love with the garter snake. It liked to have its neck rubbed. Used that in one of my novellas.

Oooh...I hate spiders. I can't even look at them. I had to move my screen up so I couldn't see them!

message 114: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 391 comments Now you sound like one of the Powder (or was it Power?) Puff Girls. Each boy had a different favorite. Nate liked the brunette and Ty liked the redhead. Hmm, neither took the blonde.

Never realized the Lord of the Rings made that much money. I knew it was big, but not that big.

and now they'll be earning with The Hobbit!

message 137: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 391 comments I never watched the movie with Stitch. The boys refused to go to it with me. They thought they were too old and too cool. (They are pretty cool). But I thought Stitch was laid back on the advertisements.
I love it when great literature makes money for people. Hooray Hobbit!
