Hey Victoria! Welcome to the group :)
You can sign up for our ARR program, which stipulates that you give readers a copy of your book on the condition they write a review and post on Goodreads, Amazon, etc... Here's the link: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

Tana or Sheri will get your book posted under a specific genre in the Making Connections group, and based on members' personal interest, they will request to read and review your book. You can also check out the Author's Corner. Just scroll down a bit on the main Making Connections page and you'll find it.

BTW, if you do have this book on our group under the ARR program, I might be the first to sign up! It's right up my alley and I post on Goodreads, Amazon, and my blog that I run with 3 other ladies :)

Victoria Ashley (victoriaashley) Thank you for responding. I just added my book info to the ARR program, I think. I added it under New Adult. I hope that I did it right. I think it was under Making Connections.

I do have this book on a free website, but it is the unedited version. The edited version is for sale on Amazon.com. I would love a review if you'd like to check out the free version, then here is the link.

Thanks,

Jessica (cosytomelibrary) Hi, I'm not entirely sure what goes in this topic, but I'm guessing it's general 'sharing info' and stuff.

Like MaryAnn has wrote I'd love to review a book in exchange for a paper copy of the book so if anyone knows of someone you can always message me! And congratulations to all the people that half posted that they've self-pub'd their books!

Jerrie Brock (jerriebrock) | 6 comments I just put my first novel up as a free Kindle download, for Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Its somewhat of an intense read since it is loosely based on actual events. Yet there's hope and redemption, not just all that can go wrong for a young woman on her own, trying to make her way in spite of the evil that lurks. If anyone is interested, I am happy to share the book and hear any ideas you have about it. http://www.amazon.com/Something-Taken...

Jessica (cosytomelibrary) Hi, this isn't anything big but please can you take a look at the first chapter of a book I've started writing. It's the first book I've done and it's a kind of parody to the hunger games: http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

Some constructive criticism would be helpful!

Jeffrey Kern (jkern) | 11 comments The latest 5 star review simply says it all!
Great guide! Will be showing my golf-loving family!, September 9, 2013
By Katie - See all my reviews
This review is from: Golf Made Easy! a Backward Approach to Learning Golf... or Is It? (Paperback)
Golf Made Easy by Jeffery Kern is a GREAT golf guide for beginners and the like for golfing. Over the past year my family has picked up golfing on vacations and I had my first ever lesson. I enjoyed it, at first, but then suddenly it became so difficult to play, I couldn't remember anything I learned, and I just wasn't having fun anymore.

When I heard about Kern's book in learning golf...backwards, I was intrigued. The basis of this book is that he teaches golf starting with putting and working up to driving. It's the opposite how you are taught any other time, but as I read the book I was surprised how much sense it made! Learning the small and working up to the big just makes sense... this way I slowly work up to understanding putting more into each swing and how to do so. Why wouldn't you work up to the full drive?

The book itself is really nicely laid out. There are a lot of pictures to go with each different teaching - pictures of clubs, ways to hold, ways to pitch and drive, etc. Kern also gives a quick overview of how to choose the best clubs for you, golf terms and rules of the game, how to check if your club and ball are manufactured correctly, etc. There were a lot of things discussed that I wasn't aware of previously, and even things I had been taught before now felt like I would retain the information much better after having it laid out before me.

This book is less than 100 pages and is such a great guide. The chapters and content are organized well, and I know it's a book I will be referring to again and again as I go golfing.

I really enjoyed this book and not only will I read it again, but I am definitely bringing it on my next trip with my family so I can have everyone read it as well. I think they will really gain a lot from it.

I highly recommend this book.

Willa Jemhart | 38 comments So I've been scanning through the Read For Review lists, and I'm curious about something. Why does it seem that some of the books get overlooked? Some have large numbers of people who want to review, some have only 1 or 2, and some have no sign-ups at all. They are being offered free, yet no one wants to check them out. So what drives your decision in which ones you want to read and review? Is it the title? The synopsis? Does it depend on whether or not you've heard the author's name before? (Would love input from anyone willing to offer it...)
Thanks.

Marlowe Sr. (Ariindam Chakrabortiy) (mrmarlowe) | 4 comments I would like to share my ebook Phantasy

Totally FREE right now! It would be appreciated if you could post your reviews on Goodreads, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

Phantasy

Genre: Dark Comedy, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Drama

Book Description:

Fired from his job, dumped by his girlfriend and shoved around by the world, a young, lazy, day-dreamer takes refuge in his world of dreams and fantasies, and finally decides to become a writer. And what does he want to write about? He wants to write about monsters! He wants to write about fights, action, adventure, etc.! He's writing a book about:

'Two simple minded, happy-go-lucky buddies suddenly find themselves in trouble when they are attacked by a fireball-belching monster whom nothing seems to be able to defeat. When all the tricks of the local police fail to control the creature, and ordinary bullets and bombs prove useless, the captain figures out that the monster can be gotten rid of using only (un)natural means!'

He has started created a world of his own, a world in which only HE can rule with full authority. But will he be able to finish what he's started? More importantly, will he be able to taste success in his new venture?

Stan Morris (morriss003) | 23 comments I'm presently in Roswell, New Mexico. Yes, that Roswell, New Mexico. I'm visiting family, but I'm also doing research for a book I titled, The Beautiful Alien Nerd.

Synopsis:
Quillan, a beautiful alien girl is sent to Earth on a mission to encourage spaceflight by secretly aiding those involved in this endeavor. The reason for doing this is so Earth will develop refueling stations which can be used by spaceships operated by Quillan’s people, the Doorks. It will be cheaper to stop at refueling stations built by Earthlings than to build refueling stations from scratch. Due to a mistake in paperwork, some defective parts in Quillan’s spaceship are not replaced, causing Quillan to land west of Roswell, New Mexico, instead of landing in Russia where she could have used her pre-made currency, clothing, and her other culturally correct items.

R.S. Novelle (rsnovelle) | 14 comments Thanks for the opportunity to share! I've just released a short paranormal suspense story, Reflections, that I'm offering on Amazon for $0.99.

Graham had a simple life: A job he enjoyed, a wife that he loved, and a young son that kept each and every day full of surprises. But when his father passed away unexpectedly, he inherited a family heirloom that would begin to...complicate matters.

A mirror that had been in his family for generations, Graham quickly found that its reflections were out of the ordinary, and that it had prophetic powers beyond his comprehension. Giving him just a momentary glance at souls who were on the knife’s edge of life and death, it was up to him to try to save them as they were thrust unknowingly into his path.

Finding a way to balance his daily life with this newfound responsibility was proving arduous enough, but when the mirror begins showing him reflections of his own family, Graham finds his world irretrievably changed. Will he be able to save them, or will he be forced to live with the same regret that so many have suffered before him?

Reflections by R.S. Novelle

Jennifer (alphawolfseries) | 12 comments I have a new Werewolf book in the works, one that already has many excitedly talking about. It is due to be published in January 2014, and is 100% self-published, cover designed, and everything by the author (me!).

Fall into a story of paranormal beings, ancient souls, and a psychotic demon's appalling hunt in the Alpha Wolf Series' Alpha Wolf: Demon's Prize

www.facebook.com/alphawolfseries

For months, socially withdrawn Dr. Brent has been reading about women being abducted throughout the city. It is soon discovered that the women may have all been witches. Brent decides to take the matter into his own hands, but is distracted when 4 friends in their late 20s move to the city and start causing a ruckus. He knows they are werewolves, except for the youngest of the group -- Angela, who is only half.

That night, Angela is attacked by a psychotic demon. The demon had been stealing paranormal beings for centuries, taking them to hell for his version of "trafficking". The demon happily claims her as his prize, only to have his interests switch to Brent once he finds out his true identity.

Come to me tonight
Tonight is all I have
Drop into my arms
With passion so immense
For one last time
A different day tomorrow
A different you
A different me
Let’s love each other tonight
With all there is to love
Let’s live it up tonight
With all there is to live
Forget petty matters
There is no tomorrow
Why waste time thinking
Let’s talk and love and laugh
Let this be the last
I recall and take along
Before the sun rises
You and me together
For brief yet deep moments
Living the way we wanted
Forever and ever
