LOVE THE ILLUSTRATIONS!!! Maira Kalman is one of my art idols now! The story starts slow but it gets better when you're near the middle to end part. It makes me keep reading because I really wanna know WHY THEY BROKE UP!

To Zareen. Obsidian is great!!!!! A definite read. Shadows is the prequel to Obsidian but really should be read afterwards.

I couldn't get past the 3rd one. How was the 4th?

Dark Flame, in my opinion, was the best one. and trust me, it took me 2 weeks (vs. my usual 1 day) to read the 3rd one bc it just sucked w/o Damen. But honestly, i would push thru Shadowland, or read a really good summary atleast, then read DARK FLAME!! It will be worth it, i promise!!
