rose (daughterofhearts) hey everyone! i’m rose, and i’m so excited to join this book club! :) my favorite book at the moment has got to be “Six of Crows,” just due to the characters and the way they developed throughout the story. my favorite book of all time is probably “The Hunger Games.” I read it a long time ago, but I still remember the lasting impression it had on me today. and lastly, my go-to authors at the moment are Leigh Bardugo, Marissa Meyer, Holly Jackson, Holly Black, and Courtney Summers (who i just recently discovered).

message 9961: by Jaime (new)

Jaime (jtgarner) | 8 comments Hi, my name is Jaime, I'm a YA reader, primarily in sci fi and fantasy. I've been reading and reviewing arcs for the past year, so if you get a chance, please check out some of my reviews. I'm also an aspiring author, and a bit of a stickler for grammar. Right now I'm reading the Fae of Bitter Thorn series, and working on an arc for review of a really great Wizard of Oz/Snow White hybrid retelling called "Through An Emerald Gale." For Non-YA reads I am loving the Emily Wilde series, and can't wait for the next one! If it isn't obvious, I am a sucker for a good fairy tale retelling/romance. I'm happy to meet you all and get and hopefully give some good recommendations.

Rayne (queen_0f_crows) | 9 comments Hello! I’m Rayne, and I’ve loved reading YA since childhood. At this point it’s a comfort genre for me and even though I am trying to read more adult books lately, I think you can never go wrong with a good YA book. Some of my favorites include Six of Crows, Children of Blood and Bone, Turtles All the Way Down, Sadie, Throne of Glass(even thought it’s considered more adult now), and many, many more! I am currently planning on doing a reread of the Legacies of Orisha books(Children of Blood and Bone) before the third and final book comes out in June! I love recommendations from anyone, and I’m always on the lookout for an intriguing book to buy. I’m trying to expand the genres I read, so any contemporary/lit fit/historical/magical realism/etc book recommendations you have I would love! I’m excited to be here and discuss topics in common with you all, and I hope I can continue to stay active in here even thought my life’s been a bit busy lately. I hope you all are enjoying your current reads!🤍🤍🤍

Kate (getlitwithkate) Hiii! :) I'm Kate, and I am an avid fantasy and romantasy reader, as well as YA fantasy. I fell in love with fantasy as a kid with Tamora Pierce and JK Rowling and haven't stopped. That being said, I do tend to read a little bit of everything except super dark romance. I love a good thriller, horror story, or crime procedural.

Some of my favorite reads are The Lord of the Rings (a classic, of course!), Throne of Glass, Fourth Wing, The Sacred Stones trilogy, The Four Horsemen series, The Prison Healer, and Dance of Thieves. I also love Silence of the Lambs and Mark Dawson's Atticus Priest series. My favorite read this year has been The Dragon Mage by ML Spencer.

I love having new book friends with similar interests--mainly fantasy/romantasy. So if you would like to add me, feel free to do so! I like to see what everyone is reading.

My fave genres are YA Fantasy and Historical fiction, but I have been branching out into Romance, Thriller and Mystery lately so always open for recommendations in those categories.

When I'm not working or reading, I enjoy all forms of art (oil pastel, gouache painting, drawing, digital art) and doll collecting :P In my spare time I can be found blogging about my hobbies or making YouTube videos on them :)

message 9989: by Aleksandra (new)

Aleksandra Lukic I'm Aleksandra! I enjoy gardening, riding motorcycles, and looking after my nine chickens. I didn't rediscover my love for reading until 2019. School forced me to read books I didn't enjoy, and even during my career, I stuck to leadership and business books that didn't excite me. But then, "The Alchemist" changed everything. Now, I've dove into YA and other genres because reading should be fun, not a chore. I'm currently working on my own book blog and sharing my reviews on Goodreads and StoryGraph. Nice to meet you all!
