I just finished Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer and really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next book! I'm starting Entwined by Heather Dixon tonight, really excited, but I feel guilty because I'm only excited to read it because the cover is so beautiful :)

message 809: by Calico (new)

Calico (black-calico) | 4 comments I just finished Tiger's Voyage (The Tiger Saga, #3) by Colleen Houck and am now starting Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2) by Cassandra Clare . I'm a little surprised I haven't seen the Tiger's Curse books mentioned in the lurking I've been doing around here lately. There are three books out so far and I've really been enjoying them, and they're in the same vein as a lot of YA fantasy/romance that's popular now, except with cursed Indian tiger-princes instead of faeries, vampires, or nephilim.

Heather L wrote: "Entwined is in my top 5 to read. Would love to know what you think abou it, Anne."

I really like it! I think I'll give it 4 stars, but we'll see how it ends. The dialogue is a bit unrealistic and the time period is ambiguous, but otherwise I'm really enjoying it. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, but I would recommend it.

message 820: by Delaney (new)

message 825: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm reading Pieces of Georgia by Jennifer Fisher Bryant for school summer reading. It's not a big challenge, but I like the way that it's a story told through poetry-like verses. I finished The Boy Who Dared by Susan Campbell Bartoletti (also for 7th grade summer reading) and it astounded me. It was so good. In my opinion historical fiction at its best.

Idk it's just not the type of thing I normally read and the blurb didn't sound very interesting but so many people recommended it so I finally cracked and brought it with me on my trip
