Something Rotten discussion

Just finished reading "Something Rotten" by Jasper Fforde. A few months ago, I stumbled upon "The Eyre Affair" by Jasper Fforde which is where he introduces the character of Thursday Next and really liked the storyline. Interesting in that it was about a group of detectives who could go into books and stop the book characters from getting into mischief and what not.

I thought this was the sequel to that book, but it turns out that this is the fourth in the series, but I didn't find that a distraction. Just makes me want to read the intervening two books.

Overall, it is sort of a mixture of British humor and sci-fi, if you're in that sort of thing, but with the addition of a strong female lead. Typically, the sci-fi genre tends to be dominated by strong male leads.

At any rate, I recommend this series.
