About the Author
Mr. Volkay is a writer of both fiction and nonfiction, appearing in the forms of essays, short stories, and poetry, and letters. His writing has appeared in USA TODAY, numerous other newspapers, magazines and is a semi-regular contributor to both Free Inquiry and Skeptical Inquirer magazines. His work, usually, if not always, revolves around championing reason, science and secularism and disparaging superstition, religion and the paranormal. Above Us Only Sky is his first novel. Mr. Volkay resides in the Los Angeles area.
