Hi everyone! I'm planning to put up excerpts from my published books before starting a giveaway. But how much of a published work can you share online? Is there a word limit beyond which the publishers can object?

I would put up about five or six pages, myself. That should be enough for people to find out if they like your voice.

If you're worried about what would be a problem for your publisher, to be honest, I think that's a question you should ask your publisher.

Thanks, Michael. Just trying to take the lazy way out! They would probably ask me to look at the terms of the contract, which I have to dig out from under tons of paper.
