Erica | 4 comments I am trying to add book covers that I have scanned myself. The only way I had found to do it thus far is long and convoluted...create new edition then merge them.. How can you just add an image to an existing book?

Mary Findley | 71 comments If you have librarian status, go to the book page and in the lower right above the get a copy green block in light type you will see edit details. That allows you to add covers. Just found it myself!

Erica | 4 comments Thanks...that works now...but before for some reason, it didn't give me permission to do it..I had to reapply for Librarian status, even though I joined the librarian group long ago.

This group is open to all GR members, and joining it does not make you a librarian.

Tema Merback | 8 comments Hi, perhaps you can solve my problem. My book In the Face of Evil is a Finalist in the National Jewish Book Awards and as a Finalist I have a new jpg of my book with a silver medallion indicating such award. I would like to upload that image and replace all of the other images (Kindle, Hardcover, Paperback) with it. How do I do this?

Since Goodreads is more like a library than a bookstore, you can't replace all the other book images. People tend to want to see the cover of their edition of the book on their shelves.

What you can do is create an alternate-cover entry (fill out everything but the ISBN/ASIN number), enter a librarian's note on the new edition stating what ISBN/ASIN it's an alternate entry for, and then combine the new entry with the others.
