why is it named as tropic of cancer?

eyupcan I finished the book but I don't understand why henry miller named the book tropic of cancer.and moreover there's tropic of capricorn.I started reading it.

Stela Miller's explanation is interesting, but incomplete (the works of art have often this strange habit to transcend even their creators' intentions ). For me, it's an oxymoron, resulting from the geographical definition that stresses the first term (sun at its zenith, when it is in its full splendor) and Miller's explanation that emphasizes the second (the civilization disease) in order to give another name to Paris, the city of the glory and the fall, the artist's paradise and inferno...
