Romance Readers Reading Challenges discussion

This is a buddy read of the YA novel Nightshade between Iris & Dawn. Any and all are welcome to join in.

Please keep in mind there will most likely be spoilers!

Ok I'm about a 100 pgs in and I'm liking it so far. Although it does bother me when authors have their own terms and you need a dictionary/guide to understand their terms and they don't include it or they assume you know it as it was in .5 of the series.

Tell me about it! I'm liking it so far, but at times I feel like I need a thesaurus by this author. lol

I feel like I've read this storyline before - girl is promised to boy A meets boy B and she falls in love. Not sure how i feel about Calla, she annoys me on some level yet shes strong and confident. Guardians and Keepers finally started to make sense.

I'm keeping in mind that Calla is only 17, although at the age of 17 I can remember being a hell of alot more mature and wise than Calla seems to be. However, I'm hoping that the next books shore up her strength and personality because of all the characters I find her the most lacking.

I'm definitely going to keeping reading this series though because the story itself did hook me. How are you liking it so far?

Im going to keep reading the series overall I like the book. Most of the time I like YA but I do forget that the characters are young and so can be annoyed by the attitudes.

I think that honestly that is my only issue with the book. And it's got nothing to do with the storyline. I get annoyed with the characters maturity level. Then I remind myself that they're just kids as such are actually acting their age. lol

I enjoyed reading it though. Good choice!
