Oh no, Table Mountain is a huge mountain which Cape Town nestles up against. I grew up in Tableview, which is across the bay from the city itself. Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent much of his incarceration, is across the bay from the city itself, directly across from the beach of Tableview. On a good day the view across to the island from the flat we lived in when we first got married was spectacular.

I wish! 7 years ago I moved upcountry to the other capital, Pretoria. It's near Johannesburg. Nowhere near as spectacular.
