Are Jaffacakes cakes or biscuits? Debate it here... If you dare...

BOTH. They were born when some random genius-nut-case decided to cross-breed a cake and a biscuit.He went: Hmm...what to do...what to do...I like cakes AND biscuits but I cant have both...EUREKA! *Runs around town in a bath-towel until police catch him and put him under house arrest.*
Then he cross-bred his favourite cake and his favourite biscuit and...TA-DA! The Jaffacake was born!
That is my logic. Well...ONE of my logics in this area...
Exactly what I think. Why?*It's in the name
*David Cameron upped the prices of all biscuits but not Jaffacakes (it's true you know)
*Jaffacakes are in the cake isle in my local supermarket
With a BISCUIT BASE!Its a cross-breed! A hybrid!
My other theory is the Cake-goddess and the biscuit-god married and gave birth to the Jaffacake-goddess. And thus the Jaffacake was born.
And lastly-The Jaffa-monkeys made them.
LoL. I like the last theory. My theory:The Jellybean tribe (my GR namesake :D)) of epicness were wondering what to do when they decided to invent all sugary snacks of epicness in the world and so they became rulers of all things sugary. Soon, the biscuits and the cakes battled for dominance and the cakes won. The Jellybeans, however, decided to make a hybrid and so made the Jaffacake in honour of the tribe of biscuits and the tribe of cakes. Because the cakes won the war, they named them 'Jaffacakes'. And so the Jaffacakes became available in supermarkets.
But they're still a hybrid right? Just with an honorary name? I like that theory.
