Ada Adams (ada_adams) Hi everyone!

I'm currently compiling a long to-read list. I would love some recommendations from other readers.

You can post in this thread or here on my blog post.

Thank you for your time.

I can't wait to hear all your suggestions!

Best regards,
Ada

Hi Aphrodite!

I just joined Goodreads and have yet to compile one. I have been a little busy with writing lately, and have fallen behind on keeping up with recent book releases. Therefore, I'm wondering if other readers would like to suggest some must-read books from their piles. :)

Thanks,
Ada

What genres do you read?

Ada Adams (ada_adams) Hi Aphrodite and Sheri!

Thank you for the recommendations Aphrodite. I will take a peek at your list.

Currently, I'm concentrating on YA Everything! I love Paranormal, of course, but I enjoy Contemporary works as well. I haven't read much Historical Fiction and Horror (although I love horror films), but I'm open to exploring those genres as well. Romance is great too, as long as it's paired with something else. I also enjoy Adult books, especially books about other cultures. As you can tell, I'm not very discriminatory when it comes to my love for literature.

I suppose, since I have been spending a lot of time in the YA world lately, I would really like to learn about some great new releases that others would recommend. I'm planning to catch up on everything I have missed before I have to take yet another reading break for "ReAwakened".

I'm a huge reader (when I'm not writing). "A Book A Day" is my motto! :)

message 8: by Stephen (new)

Stephen Goldin (stephengoldin) If you want to try something different in the YA field, you might explore the Robert A. Heinlein "juvenile" sf books, particularly The Star Beast and The Rolling Stones or anything by Andre Norton. You'll find other cultures and other worlds galore.

I will definitely check it out. Intriguing cover! He kind of looks like he could be Dawn's counterpart. :)

FYI... Meeting Destiny (Destiny, #1) by Nancy Straight is free for reviewers right now over in this group: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...

You just need to be able to read and review it within 6 weeks. I loved it so much I went out and bought the next two in the series :)

Ada Adams (ada_adams) Thank you for letting me know about it Sheri!

Hi Brandi and Michael! Thank you very much for your recommendations. I will definitely look into both of those books.

Hi Heather! Yes, I don't discriminate. :) I love all types of books, although there is something very special and fun about the YA genre. I actually have "Matched" (I saw an ad for it on the subway a long time ago and liked the cover - yes, ads work really well on me, hehe)...I just haven't had a chance to read it yet. I'll let you know what I think when I'm done.

Thank you for sharing some of your favorites with me, Gayatri! How fun is that list?! I will look at the rest of your suggestions as well.

Happy reading everyone!
