Ok I have ANOTHER really random question (im just full of em these days)-- How do you pronounce the word "Divergent?" I know some people who pronounce it like-- "Die-VER-jint" and some who pronounce it like-- "div (with a short I) err- jent (as in the beginning of gentlemen). sorry I'm just curious, because my friends and I are always like, "What? How do you pronounce it?" Does anyone know the correct pronounciation?

I believe it is the second one.

According to dictionary.com its it pronounced dih-vur-juhnt

I pronounce it the first way though...

I've always pronounced it dih-vur-juhnt. Which is how my english teacher pronounces as well :)

The second one: Dih-vur-juhnt. thus its Di (short i) ver (rhymes with her) gent (like genteleman)

The first one. Die-ver-juent

I say Die-ver-gent only because I am a southerner and it is in my blood to butcher the pronunciation of words.
