How to create a Book Club Discussion Guide

I've had some of my books in a book clubs on Goodreads and one book was read by quite a few members. Some loved it and others didn't. Molly Gumnut Rescues a Bandicoot is partly about a cat. I suspect some readers might have got the impression that I don't like cats, which is so wrong. I love cats and have had a them as pets, but I'm also a volunteer for a wildlife rescue charity and see first hand what some cats can do to small animals if allowed to roam outside at night I looked after a baby bandicoot that had been attacked by a cat and that inspired my story. Anyway, some readers thought my MC rude because she wanted her neighbour to keep her cat in at night and suggested she buy a cat enclosure instead of letting it out a night. (I was expecting this response from some readers, but you can't please everyone.) I would have loved to join in their discussion but it's not advised on here to comment on reviews, so I didn't.
Also Rahme, you're a bit like one of the characters in one of my other books: Velvet Ball and The Broken Fairy. In this story, Velvet's mother has short-cropped hair and rides a motorbike, and she won't let anybody bully her kid. LOL.
Your suggestion about a Book Club Discussion Guide is great. And your book: Guardian Cats and the Lost Books of Alexandria looks interesting. I just bought it, but don't know when I'll have time to read it a I'm getting through a long list. However, when I do I'll be sure to add a review.
If I added a discussion on here, I don't know if anyone would follow it. I'm not really up on Book Club discussions, but I'll watch to see what other do.
Thanks for sharing this idea, Rahma.

I can see how your book would inspire a lively discussion. There's always at least two sides to every issue. Thanks for buying my book. I hope you get a chance to read it.

Discovering you have a discussion guide might be the impetus for someone choosing your book over the hundreds of others, then sharing it with their book club. Best sellers almost always have guides. Why not your book?
