I was just wondering if anyone else on here was in the beta and what they thought of it so far?

Didn't think that the beta had officially started yet. I have the annual pass so I expect an eventual invite when it does start up.

It started late last night I think (EST at least) but I know the servers have been crashing alot at the moment and so far only the Pandarian 1 - 10 area and 2 of the new dungeons are available so I would guess they are working on getting it stabilized before they add more people and/or make more content available.

A little off topic, but I've never played any WoW. I keep thinking this panda-esque expansion is a perfect time to jump in, given my love of pandas. I look forward to reading peoples' thoughts on this one...who knows, maybe I'll jump in when it is released to regular people.

Pandokemon beta being live was also news to me, props to Blizz for getting it going so quickly after the press tour.

I was in the Cat beta and as a result I won't be actively seeking an invite to MoP. I'll wait for launch and hopefully get more game-play out of the expansion than I did with Cataclysm.

I was sort of non-plussed when I heard that the next expansion was going to be Pandaland. It just seemed sort of corny, even for WoW. However, I will faithfully be purchasing the expansion. The environments look pretty cool--screenshots of the Jade Forest are gorgeous.

I just got an invite since I have the annual pass, but ran into problems when I tried to download the client - drat! Have been playing SWTOR rather than WOW since it came out but if I can get in will certainly check out the beta.

Once Diablo 3 comes out next month that will probably tale up all my gaming time for a while tho......

Got my Mist of Pandaria Beta invite today. Downloading the beta client. Unfortunately I'll be too busy to play it this weekend.

I am! Hoping to play a bit tonight before going on The Instance tomorrow!

I am enjoying it a lot. It was kind of irritating in the beginning area...just with the sheer amount of people that were trying to click on the one quest guy. Other than that minor inconvenience (as binding keys fixed that issue) I really like the new race & monk class.

Also, the art for the starting area is amazing. But I'm partial to that.

WoW is great. I played it heavily for about three years, and I met some great people on there. Just try to enjoy it for the world that it provides, and don't worry about coming across as a "noob." Also, Dwarf Paladins. Dwarf Paladins.

I am at the part when 50 people are fighting to burn the scroll. So sitting there for a chance but keep missing it and target doesn't work.

Same here the panda starting area seems like a joke at the moment just hundreds of identical looking monks stuck at the flame burning bit within 5 minutes of starting......

Blizz disabled a bunch of quests this last patch. There's a rumor that there will be an update on Monday.

If you stand in the doorway that leads out to that ledge, it's much easier to click on the scroll. That's how I got it. :)

I finally got the scroll and managed to get the panda through the starting zone over to Stormwind. I have to say I noticed a few spelling errors in the quest lines and there's a distinctive difference between this starting zone and the updated post-Cata starting zones for the other races. I have YET to find a fun and entertaining "vehicle" storyline. With the elves, we could shoot large crossbows.


I did like the cursed pools. Wish there was more. The poles was nifty. It reminded me of Ranma 1/2. A hilarious nod to that anime would be a panda holding a sign that changes words now & again.

Bringing the elements was cute but felt disappointing. Wish we had a more challenging test to win the element over. Like I did enjoy dodging the fire but wish there was more -- say rush through this cave in X amount of time. Make us feel like there's a real test instead of *yawn* another boring quest of kill this and collect that.

Just got a Diablo III beta invite. Woot!

I'm in the Beta and got through the opening salvo to reach Orgimar. Wish I had gone alliance as I like they're early quests more.

I'm not enamored with this expansion so far as it seems to be more of the same, kill kill kill run kill kill kill. I wish Blizz would find a way to bring puzzles into the game that make you use your brains instead of just the 1,2 and 3 keys.

Having signed up for the Annual pass I'll stick with it until the subscription expires next Feb. but after that I might go exploring other games.

Looking forward to Diablo next month.

I've been in the beta for a week.

Don't get me started with the whole Pandaren spacial issue.

It also sucks that the servers have been up and down lately!

However I've really enjoyed it so far.

Started a panda monk and named him "Nanowrimo" for the heck of it.
