So we're reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children this month for our themed read and Sheri just killed me with the book trailer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWrNyV...#!

As soon as I get paid this Thursday I am running to the book store to get this book! *excited* :D

message 4: by Tawna (new)

Tawna | 479 comments The book is really good! And the pictures a bit creepy, hope you enjoy it!!

The trailer was creepy! That's one of the things I loved about the book, though, was the pictures. I don't think its a book that should be read on an ereader, even though the pictures are on there too.

Mo (fabmo) That book just moved its way up on my to-read list! It looks soooo good.

I have this new bad habit that's driving me crazy!! I usually read books all the way through good or bad but now if a book isn't sparking my interest as I read on I'm starting to jump to reading another book.

I am currently reading the Iron King still (I know!). I really like it but I feel like its not going fast enough and I'm anxious to get on with the next book already.

So my ? is ...should I continue reading and finish it or go to the next book and come back to it eventually?

message 11: by Sannie (new)

Sannie Hald (sanniehald) | 282 comments Though one.

I'd say give it another go, and if it still doesn't tickle you, then pick up another, and then give the Iron King another go when you are done

message 12: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra (cassmarie) | 32 comments Tt, I've been the same way.. I think GR got me into that habit because I have so many books I want to read now that I feel bad when it takes me forever to get through one!

I've only read the first Iron Fey book so I can't give you my opinion on that one.. but jump to a different book and then try again, maybe?

message 13: by Holly (new)

Holly I agree with Cassandra. Ever since gr I've looked at the stupid reccomendations and now my to-read list is, like, 200 books! I agree with Sannie and Cassandra on what you should do.

message 14: by Stephen (new)

Stephen Goldin (stephengoldin) As I've gotten older, I've decided life's too short to waste on books that don;'t interest me. There's too many good ones still waiting to be read. Why let stubborn pride steal them away from me?

message 15: by Sheri, Bookworm (new)

Sheri | 13547 comments Mod
I agree with Stephen! If it doesn't grab my attention, I don't waste my time. You might put it aside and try it again in a few weeks.

message 16: by Tawna (new)

Tawna | 479 comments I also agree with everyone on here! I really hate not finishing a book or a series so I always try to come back to it. Also, I am not one to read multiple books at once so if I am stuck on one and it's taking forever then I decide to mark my place and put it aside, otherwise I'll never move on to the next book.

message 17: by Tanecia (new)

Tanecia (books101) | 3773 comments Mod
You explained it to a "T" Tawna! I probably will set it down for another book because I just got frustrated when I updated my book status and it didn't even budge! So I will take all of you guy's advice and move right along to the next book!

Now I will have to get all of your options on what I should read next.. :D

message 18: by Tawna (new)

Tawna | 479 comments You have too many books on ur TBR that I like! You have not read Mockingjay yet?? or the Maze Runner!! or Halfway to the Grave!!! OMG, I can't pick....

I want to start taking review request but it might take me a few weeks to get to them...I am currently only reading my ARC's and my author requesting reviewer books. I have received a few emails out of the blue by authors asking me to review their books and I greedily take them with a smile on my face but it really bums me out if i cant get to them fast enough though.

I love and hate trying to decide which book to read next when I finish a novel. I love it because I get to pick something New and exciting to read. I hate it because I have a ton of books I want to read and its hard to choose! It usually takes me two days to actually pick the next book I'm going to read.

What have Ive been up to lately?...........

I have been going on an indie/requested review books only streak and I think its coming to an end. :( Only to be picked back up again when I feel like it :). I have a ton to review and I can honestly say I will not take anymore request (fingers crossed) for at least five months. I have too many and I feel like I am drowning in book reviews and deadlines. Its fun dont get me wrong but sometimes I need a break eh?

For now on I will stay away from certain groups on GR and our own Read It & Reaps lol to read books I want to read like DivergentDeliriumThe Iron King series just to name a few. :) I also would like to focus more on my blog too if I have time.

Thanks for listening whoever you are! >D

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to come on here and apologize to the group because I have M.I.A. for a bit. I've only told the mods this and now I'm sharing it with you guys but I have recently lost my job so I have been dealing with that issue for the past few weeks. I haven't done any RI&R's this week but I plan on starting it back up this coming Monday. :D

Hopefully everything will go back to normal from here and I hope all is well with everyone!
