I will set up the group discussion threads this weekend. I'm looking forward to reading another book by this author.

I've finished part one and almost done with part two... really liking it. Discussion threads are set up. I will comment soon. See ya'll there!

Not to be smart Camen, but what did you love about this book. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either.

loved the way the author wrote, kinda southern feeling, loved the time it was set in, the depression, prohibition, the story, I guess too, my dad worked in the CC's so liked that aspect too

Ann, Thank You! your review convinced me to put on my TBR list.
Having been to Florida several times when I was young (we had family there), I remember that oppressive heat and humidity. I remember the sticky, icky, feeling of the salt drying on my skin after swimming in the ocean. Not saying I didn't have a blast, but I certainly welcomed being indoors in the air conditioning. Can you imagine living there without that? And working outside in such heat?
I, too, thought the story well-written and atmospheric. Sounds like the audiobook was very good, Ann.

Debra,
I have done both.
Not fun, not even one little bit, nope.
