Hi there area 51, is this the short story by JKR that you mean about James and Sirius? Cos if so, it's not actually a book, JKR wrote it to raise money for a charity on a piece of card and some guy bid for it and bought it. You can read it online though. It's about the Cuban Revolution of 1895-1898 as seen through the eyes of the title character, an Alabama man who falls in love with a Cuban woman and follows her to the island.

Apparently, I'm the first to do so in years as I had to manually enter it.
