Hi everyone, I have a question. I had a book blog and have not updated it for a year and now I want to start blogging again should I:

1. Start a new blog from scratch?
2. Resurrect my old blog and give it a new lease of life?

Thanks :-)

Zafia | 123 comments If it was me i would ask myself:
1) Was i satisfied with the old book blog with all that included?
2) Am i'm gonna read the same type of books or has my genre choice changed?

I think that would be my overall focus point.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments If you loved the old blog, just keep it going and breath a bit of new life into it.

Otherwise this is your chance for a new begining for it.

I know it wasn't to hard starting up my blog again.

Danielle (Smiley1881) | 38 comments If you still have some old followers on your old blog it may be faster to get the old one going again then starting from scratch but even with the old one you can totally revamp it to what you want.

I'd be happy to see you back in the blogging world. :)

Cindy Matthews (celinechatillon_cynthianna) | 74 comments Oops--I thought this was where you posted your blogs! ;)

I'd do a revamp of the old blog--it probably has some followers, so why risk losing them? Just do a "grand re-opening event" and invite the original followers and new folks to come and check out your revamped blog. Good luck!

A.O. Peart (aopeart) Jenny, I agree with Shera. Keep the old blog, if you liked it. You can always revamp it a bit. Advertise it on Twitter and Goodreads to get more exposure. Take a look at other book blogs to see what works and what you like/dislike about them.

Good luck,

Thank you everyone! Good to see you all recommend what I decided to do. I've kept the blog but it's having a big facelift (in progress as we speak!) You can see how I'm getting on at Eternally Books

I like your teaser on Tangle of Need (Psy-Changeling, #11) by Nalini Singh Wish I'd thought of that. ;)

Just to let you know--I got a threat warning when I went to your blog. ???

Diana Murdock | 21 comments Late to the party, but there's something about revamping a site that makes people take a second look. Human nature to be curious. It also shows that you are looking to improve your space, and who doesn't appreciate improvement? Good decision! I'll be taking a peek now and again to check it out!

A Voracious Reader (a.k.a. Carol) (avidreader68) Jill come lately here. lol I agree about revamping (eh heh, I said revamping) the blog. I started mine in Oct and I have yet to find time to get it the way I want. I have a basic template and reviews. That's about it. Following you now, btw. It looks great! :)

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments I revamped my blog at the begining of the year. I hadn't been doing much with it after my surgery and decided I needed to jazz it up. I really like the look of it now, and it's kept me going. Even if my blog hasn't made a full recovery quite yet.
