first thoughts: to much teen drama (what was I expecting?), oh yay its set in MN and thus I know exactly why we want it to get cold; so that school closes because its -30 wind shield, but of course you don't want that if your driving, cause it takes longer for cars to start. I don't like the names too ridiculous for me especially Grace's sister and April (couldn't she come up with less ridiculousness names?) guess I'm not to religious but the whole family reminds me of one I used to know reading on to find out how similar they are. Jude seems like he would fit right in with the Abnegation in Divergent, sort of Tris's other brother.

I really like the cover although I'm not quite sure why, reminds me a bit of Eclipses cover

Missy your about how far I am. :) what do you think so far of Daniel? I forgot how much Grace kind of annoyed me, :) I am willing to look past Grace's faults though and continue on. :)

I'm kind of liking Daniel, the whole best friend thing although I wish their least meeting was written as a prologue. Will update this post later tonight.

Throughout the book the author gives a couple of background glimpse's instead. I am almost finished with the book and I forgot how much I really LOVED Daniel's character. The part where grace comes into art class and Daniel is throwing little wadded up paper at her head had me giggling. :)

I liked the flashbacks I thought they were well done. I also liked the journal entry type design, make it easy to distinguish the switches of time. I was annoyed with Grace when he was throwing paper at her, I can relate to her having good grades and perfectionist type, although art isn't my thing at all.

Wow your fast! I'm off to read for three hours. Hoping I can get half way tonight. I'm kind of wishing I had bought the first two books for $2 each a few weeks ago, they looked like they were new too

Oh thats to bad what an awesome deal! Yeah grace was kind of annoying that she would completly ignore and avoid him. When you get further in the book we can discuss it in more detail. Take your time.:)

so Finally Grace asks her brother about what happened when Daniel attacked him, I have this huge hunch that somehow I've read over this part in the past (which isn't possible..) but that it was this huge thing, anyway this time around (?) It was like oh yeah he attacked me and he sucks kind of deal (hoping her brother is a werewolf because that might explain it better for me). It just wasn't well written or i've read to many of these, type of explanations that it felt fake, even Grace's reaction as "oh your my superman" made me laugh out loud. Just hurry it up and get him back into your life. Oh and another thing what was up with her dad and Daniel at night? Like Daniel was helping him with the change or something.

Haha it doesnt really explain what Daniel was doing with Grace's Dad, I am assuming he was trying to comfort him. I dont want to spoil the ending for you. :) When Grace was talking about Daniel being her "superman" I was like wow thats not silly at all. ( sarcasm intented). Yes it takes awhile to finally get the whole story and If the mc's would just communicate with eachother then there wouldnt be this big issue between all of them! But thats what makes the story I guess. It does get better in the end, or atleast I thought the ending was good. :)

To predictable I though. I was totally right about her brother being a werewolf, feel bad about her almost getting raped, her getting turned was a bit startling but then reminded me a ton of Shiver! Now I agree about the comforting Daniel part or maybe her dad was explaining that he was looking for another stone. Yes the end does fit nicely but most of the middle and beginning could have been cut down if they had communicated. Really want the last day part in there or more about her brothers attack to help fill in the holes. When does the third book come out?

The third book is already out it came out last month. I am half way through the second one right now and so far I like it alot better then the first one. I havent read shiver yet its in my tbr should I pass now since its just like this book? Also so far in the second book there is more of this no Communicating business which is frustrating! :) If you do start the lost saint and want to discuss it just let me know. :)

I don't think I'd get to I have a lot of BoTM's to get to so I might not get it until after next week or later, although I can come back and post here of course, it just won't be the same time your reading it since your already almost done. I'd say give Shiver a chance, I didn't like it as much as this one (not enough action for me and I didn't really like that Grace as much as I like this one and it seemed like it was very slow paced). Kind of a coincidence that the main character of that novel is also named Grace? I've heard that the second one Linger is much better so I'm going to read that in May. Maybe we could do it for Buddy read next month?
