Pick three books for your favorite genre that a beginner should read, three for veterans and three for experts.
This thread was a success in /r/suggestmeabook so i thought that it would be great if it is done in /r/books as it will get more visibility. State your favorite genre and pick three books of that genre that a beginner should read , three for veterans and three for experts.

Overrated.

LOL

Yeah, it's an interesting one. I guess it's your perception of what is entry level, mid level, and then advanced. What can you walk into, compared to what do you need some background/exposure to to appreciate fully.
But as it is all taste, you will end up with people listing The Hobbit as both beginner and expert. But to get us thinking.

For the 2018 Aussie Authors Challenge there are 4 categories with three books for each. Beginners is 12 books, next is 24, then 36 and then 48 books.
LOL! Not that you did not give us enough tasks for our ZZ challenge, but I wanted to get in more Australia books and authors. I had a few slots to complete in my Geo Challenge list.

I'm thinking on this one too... some possibilities there...

This made me laugh right off (since I just read Blood Meridien and suffered through all the Spanish):
"Ah, (Cormac) McCarthy.
The Road: try to make it through without crying.
No Country For Old Men: try to make it through without getting chills down your spine.
Blood Meridian: try to make it through without a dictionary."
