I've only read The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Does he address HIV/AIDS at all in this series? Thanks.

Friederike Knabe (fknabe) | 148 comments He does, but quite a bit later in the series and only obliquely, if I remember correctly. I have not read the latest ones, though.

Andrea | 622 comments yes, Mma Makudzi, the secretary, has a brother who dies of AIDS and there is quite a bit of reflection on the topic by that character in some of the later books. But there are no characters in the books who are HIV/AIDS patients that I remember.

Andrea | 622 comments I mean, Mma Makudzi remembers her brother and reflects back on his illness.
