On the late, lamented Game On!, Veronica had the chance to talk with Al Lowe of Sierra's Leisure Suit Larry fame and his attempts to revive the franchise. It looks like he's not alone, as The Two Guys from Andromeda (known to Earthlings as Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe) of the Space Quest series are returning to active duty as well.
Space Quest has always been a particular favorite of mine among the Sierra titles, so I'm REALLY happy about this. It sounds like they have a brand new game in mind as opposed to the Larry remake that Lowe has been talking about, but I'm hoping there might be time in their schedule to slip in some remake magic for good old mop jockey Roger Wilco, too.
Any other fans of the old Sierra adventure magic out there?
EDIT: It's not currently known whether the new game has any relation to Space Quest. I suspect not, but have nothing but intuition to point to on the subject.
I still have such fond memories of the old sierra copy protection. Page 5 of manual, paragraph 1, word 16. I also have a SQ4 hint book and decoder card that i can finally use again, now that i have the entire SQ series from GOG.
