Well it's that time again folks. Let's nominate those books for June/July. You can nominate as many books as you wish, but the books should fulfill one of the categories listed below.

1. A collection of fairy tales
2. A historical study/criticism of fairy tales etc
3. A retelling of a tale
4. A modern/influence by fairy tale novel

We vote on one YA and one adult book. If you are nominating a book in a series please make sure it is either the first book OR the books in the series are basically stand alone.

Christina (daria1275) | 2 comments The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter if it hasn't already been done in this group.

Sue | 39 comments The April Tale of the Month - Robin Hood - has really inspired me to nominate a couple of Robin Hood retellings - one for adults and one for YA:

Hood (King Raven, #1) by Stephen R. Lawhead Hood by Stephen R. Lawhead

Hawksmaid The Untold Story of Robin Hood and Maid Marian by Kathryn Lasky Hawksmaid: The Untold Story of Robin Hood and Maid Marian by Kathryn Lasky

I know we've had Lawhead's Hood nominated before, earlier this year, and if I recall it did pretty well in the poll but didn't quite come out as first choice. So, let's try it again this time!

Sue | 39 comments Just out of curiousity, not relevant to this month's nominations - if the first book in a series has been a Group Read in a prior month, then can the next book in the series be nominated later on?

Thanks!

Hood and A Curse as Dark as Gold both sound great.

What about The Complete Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen The Complete Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales for a collection of tales? I don't know if the group has already read it.
