Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy Addicts discussion

I recently read Amaranth and it jogged my memory of a book that I never added to my TBR shelf. It was a similar in the fact the the main female character had a past with an abusive relationship and the male lead was a vampire. I think that her friends in the book were also supernaturals of some kind , but for the life of me I have no idea what the title was or how i found it originally. So I thought I would see if anyone knew what the book might be or have a recommendation for a similar plot line ; ) Thanks for all your help!

Can you remember any other details, like what the heroine did? If you can I could probably come up with a few ideas!
