A.O. Peart (aopeart) | 2 comments I am planning to switch to the Author page from my "regular" Goodreads page soon and would like to know how I can bring all my friends to my new Author page? Do I start from scratch or is there an easier way?

Thank you for your advice.

Unless I am misunderstanding you I am not sure if it matters.

I am a Goodreads Author and I have an Author Dashboard where I can see stats on my own books. The link to it shows up when I click on Home at the top on the Goodreads bar. My own books also appear on My Profile anyway. I hardly ever go to my Author Dashboard.

When you become a Goodreads Author I think it just adds that to your profile and lists your books on your profile page. I think it is just the same account, so friends, books and reviews are uneffected. You're not changing or setting up a new account are you?

I may be wrong of course as I did this from the beginning, so others more knowledgeable may reply with more information. If not ask Goodreads Support.

This is a link to the Goodreads Author Program page:

I think if you just find your books and click on the link that says you are the author you can update the author page after you have been given permission. I think your account just gets updated without any effect on friends or anything. There is a contact email link on there for questions.

To answer your initial question, all of the data from your current user profile will be moved to your new author profile, including your friends.
