Paranormal Romance & Urban Fantasy discussion

Hi, all! I'm new here, and after browsing the group forums, I think this is a great place to ask my question.

Here's the thing. I love to read, but I'm pretty cheap. I hate coughing up even 99 cents for a book if it turns out to be lousy. I've been reading some reviews of the book Awakening by Karice Bolton, and I'm wondering if any of y'all have read it.

I'm worried it might be a bit cheesy, or shallow. One thing I read called it a YA book, but none of the other places said that. It's not that I'm against YA books, per se, it's just that I've found a lot of them can be kind of...well, shallow...and I'm looking for something with a bit more teeth...no pun intended. :)

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not familiar with the author, but this book is currently free at Amazon.

Meg do you have a reader? with some of them you have the option to borrow or go to the library.

there is a teen book called the awakening, i think the books may have been confused. that series is by Kelly Armstrong i think.

Oh and with amazon they always let you sample the book. I figure if i'm hooked at the point the book leave me off I buy it.
