Amazon doen't do direct bank payments in Australian dollars for australian writers. Could goodreads represent their authors who don't get paid electronically in a polite manner to amazon. At the moment I understand their are substantial fees involved when an amazon US dollars cheque is presented to an australian bank. I just wondered if GR could help their writers in this situation. In this day and age it should be easy for amazon to pay their austalian sales electronically without the writers having to foot such fees. What do you think?

I don't know if this link will work but I saved it from an Amazon forum late last year (just in case I need to refresh myself when I try & get paid)- the chat was all about electronic payments for overseas authors.
