I tried to add my new book and it keeps saying the ISBN already exists for another book, however, when I search by the ISBN it says there are no books with that one. What is going on?

What is the ISBN (and the title/author) of the book you are trying to add?

Being a leprechaun was so boring! Though Brea had a loving family and an amazing best friend, she was a trian—the third child in a leprechaun family. Leprechauns usually only have two children, each with a gift; the ability to fix things, affect the weather, talk to animals, or heal. Every once in a while, a third child was born. Gail, were you putting the 13-character ISBN in the ISBN field or the ISBN-13 field? If you have a 13-character ISBN, it needs to go into the 13-character field or the last 3 numbers will get cut off. (In fact, in this case the numbers 9781618628 are in use as the ISBN-10 for a different book, which could be why you were getting that error.)
