This is a wonderful little read ;-)

Lol, I love that. That tiny blurry type is a little bothersome, isn't it? Luckily I haven't had that problem in a while. it's amazing how much font can change based on the size they p[rint it in.

Someone mentioned Lord of the Rings, so I have to add my two cents on that one, now that I have thought about it. Loved the books at first, didn't mind that they were long, although when reading a series I often have to put it down in the middle and go back to it later (or if it is too big and weird like Sofie's Choice-see my review if you are curious about my opinion).

I started the books in highschool (99-2001) and didn't pick them up again until the last movie came out. I wanted to finish reading before I saw the movies. Well I still haven't seen them because I HATED the ending. All that wonderful works, over a thousand pages, ruined by that crappy ending. And I'm not talking about the denoument, I mena the climax just sucked. I'm tearing up just thinking about it,j/k. It bothered me that the series was so long because I just hated the edning. That's the only series that has been like that for me.

On a lighter note: Stephen King's Gunslinger series though: it's about 4 or 5,000 pages I think, but it's the perfect ending. I should have expected it, but didn't. And that made the whole thing worthwhile.

Robin, While size "might" be a factor, drop dead boring in the first few pages with small (almost unreadable) print is a definite turnoff. I was just commenting to a friend recently that it seems most of the books I am reading are 400-500+ pages lately. Though not daunted, like you, reading 4-5 books at a time makes it more difficult to finish one to get to the next best book. I bought a new MP3 player and that helps to alleviate my anxiety.I can at least listen and finish a book that way.
