Interviews with Caesar Flickerman--Barley Listal

newest »

Barley comes out wearing a gold and brown sparkling tux and brown dress shoes. He held his head high and kept his face expressionless. He sat down in the chair across from Ceasar.
(((idk the capitol likes pretty killers)))
"So, what did you think of my sister?" Barley asked the question before Caesar could start asking his question.
"I…well, Barley, I thought she was promising. Not to mention beautiful, that will get her sponsors for sure."
"Good. I want her to win more than I want to." Barley replied.
"I guess you could say that." Barley said.
"Good chap. Do you know, she said she didn't want you to die. She's clearly planning for you to win, rather than her!"
"Well, I'm not surprised but I swore to mom and dad that I'd protect her. And if I have to we'll be the last two standing just to make sure ahe wins. I'm not lwtting her die." Barley seemed determined.
"You swore to your parents? And what are they like?" Caesar asked, carefully steering them off what could be a touchy subject.
"They're...nice. I guess you could say they were hard workers. Very strong." Barley rubs his thigh.
"Uh...um...uh nothing. Nothing that matters." He rubbed his thigh a lil less obviously but continued to rub it.
"Well, Barley, what do you do for fun in District 11?" Caesar said, just a trace of suspicion in his eyes.
"Never time." Barley said as normally as if the answer was obvious and he was perfectly comfortable.
"I guess you could call it that," Barley said plainly.
"Food, life, necessity," Barley answered.
"How ever I have to, I guess,"
"I was the only one I'd let get tesserae." Barley said.
"No, how the heck would we feed the thing?" Barley asked.
"It is. But I already know how it's going to end for us." Barley said.
"Henna's lasting longer than I am. Even if she doesn't win I'm getring her as close as I can." Barley said seriously.
"Protect her until I can't anymore then, well, I'l die one way or another. Henna will at least survjve the majority of the Games," Barley knew his parents hated hearing this but he knew it was better they knkw they can keep one than none.
"It is. But they can't lose us bothe watching us kill each other. If all goes right, whic I hope it will, Henna will win the games, and my parents can keep at least one of hs," Barely said firmly. He hadn't shed a tear thjs entire time. Like it was a play in basketbal.
"Yes," he looks into the camera, tears in his eyes fir the first time during the interveiw, "I'm sorry. I love you all so much. Mom. Dad. Henna. You all are amazing. I'm doing this for you guys. I know it hurts, but Henna is to bouncy, and bubbly, and loving, and loveable to lose. Plus she has so much ahead of her. Don't blame her for when I die. I chose this. Not her. She'll miss me as much as you. Be there for each other. I love and am sorry our last goodbye was through Capitol television. I love you."
"That's all I had to say," Barely wipes away the last of his tears.
"It's just me and Henna. Soon just Henna. Assuming she wins," Barely knew the Hunger Games tore families apart but this was brutal.
"I'm gonna be there for Henna until I die. I will protect and it will be the last thing I do. I don't want to ljve if I have to live without my little sister. The entire district wohldn't be the same. I'm just one other person, she's something special," Barley says firmly but somberly.
"You must have SOME idea the price your entertainment comes at?" Barley growls.
"Anything I can get my hands on, hopefully a knife," Barely said. He was still peeved that they knew the price if their games but didn't care.
"Yes. Let me and my sister be an example of the price of your Games. They are inly fun to watch. And even then, when you know a person in these games, it's nkt fun. This game of yours tears apart the families of people just like yours. This game tries to turn brother against sister knowing one has to die," Barley looked at each and every person in the audience.
Barley leaves and doesn't look back. Hot tears silently stream down his face.
((after all the interviews maybe...could you interveiw another one of my charries? Ill interveiw one of yours if you have another.
((you can make another charrie plenty missing b4 the games.))

Why don't you both just do what katniss and peeta did? It could save you both!!!!
(cried a little kid in the audience)
(%This is the 73rd hunger games. No one knows that yet and the two victors thing was unprecidented so we cant.))
"And here we have Barley Listal, from District 9!" Caesar declared, a smile wide on his violet lips. "Unfortunately, the brother to Henna Listal, the female tribute from District 9," he added, his expression growing solemn.
