"Agreed," Emma said. With a flourish of her wand, the locks on the doors snapped shut with a click. "First, we bow," Emma said, approaching her opponent and inclining her head slightly.

"Excellent," Emma said, turning and taking several steps away from Isadore before facing her once more. "On the count of three. One. Two. Three."

"Protego!" Emma shouted, deflecting the spell. "Confundo," she returned a spell in Isadore's direction.

Emma's wand went flying out of her hand. She quickly dove for it and scrambled back to her feet. "Stupefy!" she said, flicking her wrist and sending a jet of red light at Isadore.

"Weren't you taught that 'stupefy' is spelt and pronounced with an 'e'?" Isadore laughed. "Don't you remember Flitwick always telling us that pronunciation is important in casting spells?" She laughed again. "Avis!" A clutter of a thousand tiny birds shot towards Emma.
"Reducto," Emma said, causing the birds to disintegrate into a cloud of feathers which floated to the ground. "Wingardium Leviosa," she said, causing a table to fly toward Isadore.
"Expulso," Emma flourished her wand, causing the table to explode into dust. "Petrificus Totalus!"

Immediately, flowers sprang up from the ground of the trophy room and started growing up Emma's shoe.
"Immobilus," Emma said, and the flowers stopped growing. She pulled her foot from their grasp. "Conjunctivitis" she said, pointing her wand at Isadore.

Emma sidestepped the steady stream of water and said, "Densaugeo," causing a jet of yellow light to fly toward Isadore.

"Deprimo," Emma said, causing the fragments to reverse direction and fly at Isadore.

"Incendio!" Flames flickered from the tip of Isadore's wand and traveled in a long fiery line to form a cocoon of glowing hot embers around Emma.
"Haha! You're trapped. You can't even move!" Said Isadore gleefully.
"Aguamenti!" Emma shouted, causing water to shoot out of her wand and douse the flames before streaming toward Isadore.

"Evanesco," Emma said, and the storm vanished. "Furnunculus," she shouted, sending a jet of orange light at Isadore.

"Lucio," Emma said, causing the tickling sensation to stop. "Langlock," she shouted, her curse hitting Isadore.

"Flagrate." Isadore thought. The non-verbal spell lit the tip of her wand.
Isadore slashed at Emma and managed the sear her Hogwarts robe.
Emma sidestepped her blows and shouted "Protego!" causing Isadore to take several steps back.

"Muffliato," Emma said, immediately dulling her voice. "Sectumsempra," Emma called.

Emma doubled over and began to vomit slugs all over the polished Trophy Room floor.
"Ewww..."
Emma coughed the counter curse and stood up. "Nice try," she said, shouting the incantation for the jelly-legs jinx and laughing when Isadore tried to free her legs.

Eventually, the spell wore off and Emma climbed to her feet. Pointing her wand at Isadore, she muttered, "Reducto." A glass trophy directly behind Isadore shattered, sending shards of glass flying. Emma threw herself behind a display case to avoid being pierced by the shards.

Quickly getting to her feet, Emma said, "Obscuro," she watched Isadore struggle blindly for a moment before shouting, "Amis." A collection of birds fluttered above her head. "Oppungo," she said, causing the birds to rush in Isadore's direction.

"Aquamenti," Emma shouted, sending a forceful jet of water at Isadore, which hit her in the face, dousing her robes and hair.

"Stupefy," Emma retaliated, the spell jotting Isadore directly in the chest, causing her to be knocked back several feet, nearly slamming into a wall.

[I guess the duel is over. Emma, are you going to leave me here, stupefied?]
Emma silently walked over to Isadore and muttered the countercurse before pulling her out of the trophy room and into the first door she found, a broom closet. Emma could here Filch's approaching footsteps and waited with baited breath.

"Thanks," Emma said. "Fine, you can kick her and I'll stand watch."

Emma waited silently as he footsteps steadily approached.

You probably can't see this post anymore, but thank you, Emma, for all you have done for this group; you are a really good group leader and you help everyone who asks you for help. Hogwarts will miss you and thanks for our duel!
