Any thoughts? I loved this book and how he changed perspectives between Jason, Piper and Leo but I HATED how Percy wasn't in it! Sure he was kidnapped but PERCY vein kidnapped? Yeah right lol

I definitely missed Percy.
I was sad Percy wasn't in it either, but I like that they introduced new characters and the Roman side of the gods which they couldn't have really done without the new characters. At least Percy wasn't completely cut out though!
Yeah I think Rick Riordan did a good job incorporating the roman side into the books though at first it was a little iffy for me. I was like wait wait wait... Ur just going and changing things on me?! But it's just like the characters cause thy didn't know about it either and was definitely and interesting and a good read
I admit I was sad as well Percy wasn't in it. But, it was nice to hear and meet other people. out of all of them, I LOVED Leo the most. And, it seems we'll get more Leo POV in Mark of Athena!
THought having the Roman demi gods in it was a great idea but really missed Percy!!! Wanted more of him and annabeth!!

I didn't really like Piper or Jason that much, but Leo was awesome...

I'm a little late reading this series for the first time, but yeah it felt like the writing style changed from the Percy Jackson series. It was difficult to get into the first half of the book. At first I didn't like Piper but I'm really happy how her character developed. I can see why the author made her that way in the beginning so there would be room for her to grow as a person. The second half is when it really began to pick up and I enjoyed it more. Coach Hedge is funny and I really like Leo too.
I definitely missed Percy. I love rereading books but this is the only one in the series I don't reread much. It's still alright, just not as great as the other ones.
