Kelly | 3 comments Hey everyone! The name of this book has been bugging me ALL EVENING, and I'm so glad I came across this group.

Anyway, this is a YA book I read several years ago (probably about six or seven) about a girl, I think her name was Cobra, who learns that she has the ability to go into people's dreams, and I think she could change what happened. There were a few other people with this power, and I want to say that they were fighting against someone but I'm not sure. There was a male character with a weird name that loved her, but I can't remember if they ever got together in the end or not.

This may have been a series but I know I only read this book. The cover was black and purple, I think, and had a weird design on it, but I can't remember what it was. I think the title was one word and had "dream" in it, but I'm not sure. Thanks for any help!

Dreamtective (Kid Genesis)Elizabeth Swados (Author)

ISBN-10: 1885478453
ISBN-13: 978-1885478450

Cobra Kite is a remarkable twelve-year-old. She can dream. Of course, everyone can dream, but not like Cobra. Not only can she have her own dreams--she can enter the dreams of other people! Her surprising powers make her a Dreamtective. She doesn't just use her remarkable gift to eavesdrop on her favorite rock stars or who her best friend has a crush on. She uses her special skills to save her father, her mother, her brother Catfish, her best friend Melissa Sue, and the entire world from the evil, nasty plans of SPIT (the Society for Purely Insidious Terror). Along with saving the world, Cobra has fun and adventure, and you will, too.
