Why thank you for asking that, imaginary friend. The sequel to Good Cop, Dead Cop will be The Background Noise of Souls that continues the story later in 2005 about the time of Hurricane Katrina. Alex Munroe and his partner Linda Yamaguchi have drifted apart a bit, both pursuing romantic interests.

But the partners get back on track after a string of burglaries are committed that seem to involve the disembodied. And more disturbingly, Alex’s friend Bill Rybold has been working on a secret project at the Center for the Afterlife, which may offer the disembodied a way to finally seek oblivion.
