Warren | 1556 comments Here's the short version. The Hubble telescope has been taking a massive number
of high quality images. What they aren't able to do is effective search through them all. They try to post some of the good shots but know there are many that they're missing. So their trying to crowd source the problem. If you sign up you get to search through the archives, ID the good stuff, take a bow and pat your self on the back...and oh by the way, you'll probably be looking at images no other human has seen. They explain the program in this video:
http://www.spacetelescope.org/videos/...

If one of the members signs up I'd be interested to hear more about the program.

Warren | 1556 comments I'm not sure how the whole process works but
I think if you find some thing new you get to name it.
So if you discover a massive gaseous galaxy
and you have a mother-in law.
