Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

Hi,

I have the following problem:
an italian sf editor (Nord) originally published its books without ISBN, then recently assigned an ISBN to the actual and previous edition of a book.
The problem is that each edition of the same Nord book has the same ISBN, so they can't be both added within Goodreads.

My idea is to assign the ISBN to the first edition only and to create the following ones without the ISBN information, is it a good idea?

I think it's ok, then maybe you could add a Librarian note to the more recent edition reporting the ISBN(s) there.

Sounds fine. In fact, it sounds like a fairly typical alternate-cover edition situation.
