Hello Simona, it's good that you are ahead of the game this time.
I'm about half way through "Surprise" and it feels a little bit like a merri-go-round of Dr. Doolittle, Jane Austen and then naval battle/extraordinary sea crossing. I'm going to try to enjoy the romance aspects and I do understand that when you are out at sea the days are long and you get a bit introspective, so I'll let Stephen and Aubrey have their little girl crushes and hope that there is a bloody wedding soon.
Also, Dr Maturin is behaving quite strangely in Bombay, lets hope he buys a sari soon and does the decent thing LOL.
