I am not sure about the chronology, as "Galactic Center" is a new series to me.
Thank you!

I added "A Hunger for the Infinite" to the series "Galactic Center", since you aren't sure of the chronology I left it blank. Since it's a novella I didn't mark it as a primary work :)

Hi Keys -
Thank you for your help. I think I figured out the chronology of the story after I found at the end of the novella the following note of the author:
The series comprises six novels, composed over a twenty-five-year span. The events stretch from the early 2000s to A.D. 37518, an immense scope imposed because its central focus, our galactic center, is 28,000 light-years away, and characters had to get there to take part in the galaxy's larger games. [...]
This added story deals with an essential question asked of humans at the beginning of their decline, about A.D. 36000. It also reveals several aspects of the dreaded Mantis I never found room for in the novels.
Based on this, I'd say that A Hunger for the Infinite is most likely book #5.5.
Also, initially this story was published in Far Horizons: All New Tales from the Greatest Worlds of Science Fiction. I don't know is you want to add this "edition" as well to the series.
Thanks again!

I already updated the book number in A Hunger for the Infinite. I think your deduction is totally corrected #5.5 seams like the best number! :)
As for the other book since it's a collection of short stores by different authors I don't think it should be added to the collection.
I'll check the Librarian Manual either way to be sure! :)
Thanks for your time!

It is this book On the Prowl that made me think to add the anthology to the series. On the Prowl is also a collection of short stories belonging to various series (Alpha & Omega #0.5, World of the Lupi #3.5, Monère: Children of the Moon #2.5, Dorina Basarab #1.1).
Either way, I really appreciate your help!

I understand what you're saying but should I add it as #5.5 as well? Since they're the same :)
You can. I've certainly seen several series with the equivalent. Makes it easier for readers who may only have the collection, not the novella alone.

The only way to do that is teach the cowboy who has lost everything to accept that maybe he’s not a charity case after all, but the object of a man’s desire, adoration, and love.

Thank you in advance :)

And has since been added to the series. And as long as you know that it's going to be published sometime in the near future I believe it's OK to add.

Ten years ago, the Great Unveiling revealed the presence of supernatural beings living on Earth. But the residents of the ruined city discovered in Majlis al-Jinn are long dead—or so junior archaeologist Pip Butler thought until he accidentally unleashed a very naked genie named Jinn.
Even though he’s been shyly pining for his charismatic supervisor, Val Velde, Pip has a hard time refusing Jinn’s flirtatious advances. He barely has time to even consider the fact that he has an all-powerful genie and three glorious wishes at his fingertips when ruthless mercenaries sweep down on the dig to collect the most valuable artifact of all—Jinn’s lamp.
So Pip, Val, and Jinn have to work together in a race against the clock to discover the secrets of the ancient city, free their captive colleagues, and keep Jinn from the mercenaries’ clutches—all while trying to sort out their romantic tangle.
