Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments As we get bigger and more diverse so it seems our categories become more difficult to manage.

First : This is not just for authors

Use this area for subjects that don't quite fit in the 'Meet our Authors Thread'

Please don't use this as a book promo zone.

I'm going to allow a bit of promotion of services to authors here I think - if it gets out of hand I will change my mind.

Please give me feedback if you like/don't like this extra area as I really haven't the faintest idea what I am doing.

To start a new topic in the section click here

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Hopefully this will help us to keep things a bit more organised.

Let me reiterate that this is NOT the area for book promos.

If you're in doubt about what should go here, please private message me (or Simon) for advice before you post, or you may find your post has been deleted.

Steve Robinson (steverobinson) | 2926 comments Makes perfect sense. It's a natural progression that will help to keep things tidy and focused.

Geoff Woodland | 115 comments Simon,

I don't have a service to offer, but I do have a 'need', so this could be the place for people to request services, as well as offer services - what do you think?
If you are in agreement I am happy to post my 'want', :-o)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Go ahead and start the thread Geoff.

I'll have a look.

I am all ears :)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments He's not kidding. Ears everywhere.

It's rather disconcerting, especially all the earrings but makes him a good listener.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments the extra eyes are a bit worrying though...

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Too many chicken Kievs when I was younger I'm afraid.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Hi Geoff, the way to get this going is to start a new topic. That way people can reply and contribute more easily. This thread will not stay on topic for very long. In fact I think I might even freeze it.

So to start your new topic go here :

http://www.goodreads.com/topic/new?co...

I think that will work....

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 1752 comments Looks so good, Flo! I'll keep it in mind. Not sure I'm of the right calibre. I've only got ebooks at the moment. Must try harder.

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) I don't think that makes any difference Anna, as you haven't even got to be an Author to attend - it's just for anyone interested in literature.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 1752 comments Do you think they'd push Alderney to the UK coastline? That would make it a definite for me.

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) We usually travel down to Southampton Airport and then 30 mins on the plane and we're there. It's one of the journeys I really don't mind making.
